Hurtigruten Museum opens 28 August!

We have built, renovated, polished, created new exhibitions and developed new ideas. We have worked hard to create a unique arena for dissemination of history. We’re finally ready to open! MS Finnmarken got its protection, Museum Nord has got a fantastic arena to convey the history in, Stokmarknes, Vesterålen, Northern-Norway – yes, Norway has got its Hurtigruten Museum!

Culture Minister Abid Raja is making the official opening of the Hurtigruten Museum. The opening ceremony takes place on August 28 and starts at 14:00, with a number of specially invited guests.

Hadsel municipality and a number of partners are preparing for a large-scale folk festival and celebration of the new museum this weekend. The programme for the festival will come later, from Hadsel municipality.
