Lofotr Viking Festival 2022

It will be a Lofotr Viking festival 2022 from 3. – 7. August in 2022. The festival’s theme is trade and cultural exchange. 


The theme has been chosen on the basis that the Vikings had contacts across cultures and several of our objects in the exhibition refer precisely to this.

We want to highlight trade and cultural exchange during the festival. Do you have a stand, activity, a lecture, or another program that can fit our Viking Festival – please contact us at vikingfestival@lofotr.no

Nordland Seminar 2023

On 15 and 16 March, the Nordland Seminar 2023 took place in Hamarøy. This year’s organizers were Nordlandsmuseet in collaboration with Árran – Julevsáme guovdásj / Lule Sami Center. The seminar was divided in two, with the first day at Árran on Drag, and day two at the Hamsun Centre at Presteid.
