Visitor record and Arctic Kids in Narvik

01 March 2022

Visitor record and Arctic Kids in Narvik. Narvik Museum achieved a visitor record for the month of February.

February was a good month for Narvik Museum. The start-up of cruise traffic in combination with targeted work to reach this market segment has yielded results. 261 guests visited the museum in February which is a doubling compared to previous years. February is traditionally not the month with the highest visitor numbers.

“We are very pleased to see that the work towards reaching cruise tourists has progressed so far,” says Erlend Sandvoll, museum consultant at the Ofoten department. He has been the primus engine for lifting Narvik Museum to an attractive offer for cruise visitors.

This week there is also a winter holiday in the Narvik region and we take the opportunity to commemorate the Arctic Kids train party at Narvik Museum on Thursday and Friday.
