Yearbook for Narvik 2022
Wednesday October 26th the yearbook was launched at Narvik Museum, with presentation of the book, and then cake and coffee.

This year’s yearbook is 160 pages, with many different topics, including Mimergården, steamships in the Ofotfjord, music, stories from the war and the post-war period in the region, Narvik municipality’s photo collection, childhood and boating in Vassvik, etc. In other words: something for everyone!

Revision of preservation plan for private archives

This week there has been a working meeting in connection with the revision of the conservation plan for private archives in Nordland.

Eddie – THE otter

Eddie was born somewhere on Sotra outside Bergen, most likely in late summer 2022.

She was found after her mother was hit and taken home to a family in Sotra. She stayed there for several months before taking the long flight up to us at the Lofoten Aquarium at the end of January 2023.

TV program for children «Klaas Kan alles»

The Dutch TV presenter Klaas van Kruistum was at Lofotr Viking Museum on Tuesday 14 March. Together with the crew, he recorded an episode of the children’s program “Klaas Kan Alles”.
