On Wednesday 18.1. we conducted the world premiere of the “extreme race” Ofotbanen railway across. The race is 1435 millimetres, which is the width of the Ofotenbanen railway standard width.
The race was held in cooperation with Arctic Train, which invited to an informal trip by train up to Bjørnfjell station, and with longer stops at Katterat station.
84 people were on the trip, and all completed the Ofotbanen railway across. Diplomas were awarded to all participants.

Arctic Train had facilitated for northern lights experiences, bonfires and finger food for the guests. Inside the workshop barracks, guests could get a better insight into the history of the Ofoten railway with a film screening and orientation about the model from Hundalen.
