The Viking Festival 2023

In less then a week, this year’s Viking Festival will be at Lofoten Viking Museum. The Viking Festival runs from 2nd-6th of August and we look forward to seeing you there.

We have many great people who come to the festival to create a good atmosphere, entertainment and share their knowledge. Look forward to great music by Kjell Braaten Music, great entertainment with battle shows by Vikverir, and Olaf Skjeggelaus with Viking School days looking for new recruits who will learn and fight. If you want to learn more about Iron Age cooking, Edita Nurmi will have great demonstrations.

Not least, there will be market stalls and sellers who can tempt you with goods from near and far!

From 21 to 22 September, Helgeland Museum, Nordland Museum and Museum Nord gathered for the annual joint meeting of the museums in Nordland. New this year is that the Árran Julevsáme guovdásj/Lule Sami Center, the Norwegian Aviation Museum and the Narvik Centre also participated.
