Friday 8. September, the 100th anniversary of the electrification of the Ofotbanen Railway was celebrated with a great event up at Katterat Station. The organizers were Bane NOR, LKAB, Narvik Museum and Arctic Train.

At Katterat Station there were family activities with Rallarklubben, the “Ofotbanen på tvers” ( “across the Ofotbanen railway” with Narvik Museum, exhibition and guiding in the transformer station, guiding in the workshop barracks and the Hundals model, as well as cultural performances with the cultural school, music and theater.
