THE VISIBLE PROOF OF ECO-LIGHTHOUSE WILL BE UP ON THE WALL

14 November 2023

Museum Nord has now received the visible proof of certification as an Eco-Lighthouse. Museum Nord has units in Lofoten and Ofoten that have previously been certified. By being certified within the Eco-Lighthouse head office model. We will have the opportunity to certify our entire business. For Museum Nord, this is an important step in achieving our strategic sustainability goals.

FOCUS ON Sustainability and the environment

Sustainability and the environment have always been a big focus here at Museum Nord and it is a great pleasure to finally get the physical proof of this work. A lot of work has been done in this area and Museum Nord will continue to focus on this, both in the museums and in our project work.

Lofoten is a place of great importance both locally and nationally, and it is important to create good workplaces with a good working environment and help protect and preserve our nature, but also the planet.

This is a step in the right direction for the organisation and the focus on this will be even greater in the new strategy.

Projects focusing on climate and the environment

In recent years, Museum Nord has also had several projects that work precisely with these issues. You can read more about the projects here:
