Vernissage and exhibition opening at Narvik Museum

On Friday 8th of March there was a vernissage at Narvik Museum for the exhibition “ingen Kvæner tages i Arbeide” by this year’s VU artist, Åsne Kummeneje Mellem!

On Saturday 9th of March there was an exhibition opening for the general public, and the museum also had the first day of VU market and VU café at the museum this weekend. The exhibition “ingen Kvæner tages i Arbeide” is possible to see at Narvik Museum until 21st of May.

On Saturday 16 March, you can experience an exciting panel discussion at Narvik library between VU artist Åsne Kummeneje Mellem, local historian Geir Horrigmoe and department director of Museum Nord’s division Ofoten, Jon Framnes. There will also be a celebration of Kven People’s Day, which is March 16th every year. Read more about the event here:

Now we are approaching Vinterfestuka, which is the biggest event of the year in Narvik. This year’s Winterfest week lasts from 8.-17. March. Every year Narvik Museum has an art exhibition at the museum and this year it is Åsne Kummeneje Mellem who is a VU artist!
