Anniversary exhibition: From Norwegian Port Authority to Norwegian Coastal Administration

27 May 2024

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Norwegian Port Authority in Kabelvåg. At the same time, it is 50 years since the port authority, the lighthouse service and the pilot service were merged into the Norwegian Coastal Administration.

To celebrate this, the Norwegian Coastal Administration has created an anniversary exhibition in collaboration with the Museum of the Norwegian Coastal Administration.

Visitors will experience how the agency has shaped the sea route with lighthouses, harbours and fairways, and contributed to development and safety along the entire coast of Norway.

We are proud to welcome you to a journey through time and tradition. Join us to celebrate the Norwegian Coastal Administration’s past, present and future in Kabelvåg.

Place: Galleri Lille Kabelvåg

Time: Thursday 30 May at 3 pm

Musical feature with Ola Bremnes.

Welcome to the anniversary exhibition!
