The bakery opens at the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum in Å

29 May 2024

The day has finally come when we open up our bakery, and bake out all summer until the end of September.

This is the 35th year we have reopened the bakery for the summer. Since then, the bakery and cinnamon rolls from Å have become more and more popular with each passing year.

The bakery is part of the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum, which in the summer is open as a traditional bakery with bread and delicious cinnamon rolls. Everything is designed by hand and each cinnamon roll is handled with love and baked in our oven from 1878. We fire the oven with birch wood, which gives the extra good taste to all our baked goods.

We are doing the last sprint to get everything up and running, and will now in the next coming days before opening preheat the oven and will then be ready to bake for the rest of the summer.

The bakery is open from 1. June until 30. September, every day from 9 am until 3 pm, or until we are sold out!

We are excited to show you local food traditions, traditional crafts and cultural heritage at Å.

Come and taste the cinnamon rolls and meet us at the museum!

See you soon!
