When the international climate conference Gaia Arctic Summit takes place in Vesterålen in June, it will be with distinguished speakers on stage. Both Norwegian and international experts will contribute knowledge in various fields – linked to the space of opportunity that arises around sustainability challenges and circular economy.

What is the Gaia Arctic Summit?

Gaia Arctic Summit is a conference on opportunities related to climate change in the ocean and coastal communities in the north.

For every company in our region to succeed, knowledge of tomorrow’s challenges and associated tools, trends and opportunities is essential. The conference aims to give participants access to networks, knowledge and tools that will give companies and leaders a competitive advantage related to business development in an ever-changing world.

About Gaia Arctic Summit and the organizer

The conference is part of the EU project RESIST, in which Andfjord Salmon and the Vesterål Council are also partners. In addition, Deadline, Arena Storheia and SINTEF are partners. The international conference is expected to attract up to 450 guests from Norway and Europe. Museum Nord/Gaia Vesterålen is the main organizer behind the Gaia Arctic Summit. Gaia Arctic Summit will take place for the first time at Kulturfabrikken Sortland 6-7 June 2024. The host is Haddy Njie.
