Mining camp in the ballang

On Wednesday 3 July, the stage was set for Mining Camp at Ballangen Museum. The mining camp event has become an annual event at the museum in Ballangen, and is part of Arctic Kids in Ofoten.

The Ofoten Amateur Geological Society took part in the event, and brought exciting rocks and minerals for guests to take a closer look at.

The guests also got to test their knowledge on a rebus trail around the museum, with both questions for children and adults with a geological theme.

The Ofoten Amateur Geological Society also brought two metal detectors that both young and old were eager to try out! The guests could also try their hand at an old game: Skotthyll!
