Maintenance on the Navvy Road

Care and maintenance on Navvy Road

Last week, Ofoten’s operations manager Håvard and Ofoten’s department director Jon traveled up to Rallarveien to carry out maintenance and maintenance.

The Navvy Road is a unique cultural monument, and runs all the way from Rombaksbotn up to the Swedish border. The Navvy Road is also Narvik municipality’s contribution to the Fotefar mot Nord project. The cultural heritage is safeguarded by the Rombaksbotn Landowner and User Association (RGB).

Scrub and bushes were cut and culverts were inspected. It grows very quickly along the road, and we are planning more trips for further care and maintenance after the holiday.

Narvik Museum wishes everyone a good summer, and a good trip to everyone who chooses to walk along the Ofotbanen construction road!
