Launch of Yearbook for Narvik 2024

28 October 2024

On Thursday 24 October, the Yearbook for Narvik 2024 was launched at Narvik Museum!

The yearbooks of the Narvik History Society provide an insight into our common, local history in a wide range over time and in subjects. In this year’s book, iron ore is a kind of “red thread”.

In this year’s yearbook, you can read about three royal monuments that have a background in the ore traffic, about the shipwreck, the twin town of Kiruna and other stories from Narvik such as the dancer Henry Haagensen, the blood sausage from Bestermor, and the rock formation Beisfjordgubben.
