From Tuesday to Thursday this week, the collection team was in place for a registration session at Bø Museum in Vesterålen. The session started with Julie Sæther from Bø Museum showing the collection team around the museum and the open-air gallery with, among other things, the sculpture The Man from the Sea, which is part of Kulturlandskap Nordland.

Bø Museum’s artefact collection has a wide range of objects, including boats and equipment related to fishing, agriculture, household utensils and shoemaking equipment.

This round of registration sessions in Bø consisted of both new registrations and photography of objects, and marking of already registered objects that needed new patches or marking on the object.

Among other things, a collection of rock samples from Bø was registered, photographed and marked.

After a lot of rain and wind, even the sun appeared over the Lofoten mountains on the last day of the registration session, and the landscape was bathed in a nice and golden light for a few minutes before the next rain shower started again.
