SKREI at the codfish conference
On November 7th 2024, the Norwegian Seafood Council hosted this year’s Codfish Conference in Tromsø. We were there to present the SKREI project to the 600 people in attandance at the fishing industry’s most important arena. The Codfish Conference brings together businesses in the fishing industry and the service industries connected to the fisheries. Jonas Walsøe, head of SKREI Research Center, presented the plans for the new museum and some glimpses from the ongoing work on the main exhibition.
For SKREI, the Codfish Conference is an important arena for anchoring our work in the industry, and our dissemination of the role of fisheries historically, in the present and in the future. The plans for the cod’s new main hall were presented to a very good reception from the audience. We look forward to a good collaboration with the Norwegian Seafood Council and the rest of the industry in our further work with SKREI.
