How digital technology brings the past to life

13 January 2025

PhD candidate Elin Tinuviel Torbergsen gives a lecture on how digital technology brings the past to life.

As part of Solmøte 2025 in Hadsel church, Nordland Academy of Arts and Sciences, Museum Nord, and the Cultural Heritage Park at Hadsel invite you to a lecture, where Elin shows how digital technology gives us new ways to experience history.

Elin presents the new app made for Lofotr Viking Museum in Lofoten. This app allows you to travel back in time and experience how people lived in the Viking Age and early Middle Ages. You will see how digital tools can make historical objects come to life, and how we can explore them in their original surroundings ? All through your mobile or tablet.

Welcome to Hadsel Church on Thursday 16 January at 1900.

It can also be mentioned that on Friday, January 17, she will also hold a separate lecture and workshop for the students at Information Technology and Media Production at Hadsel Upper Secondary School.
