2025 looks promising for registration work at Fygle Museum after this work started again on Thursday 6 February. The registration sessions on Fygle in 2024 stopped on March 27 with a total of 134 objects photographed and registered in Primus. Now we have resumed this work and plan to register at least 200 new items before the end of March.
The team working on this important task consists of four employees who work at Lofotr Viking Museum: a conservator, an assistant conservator and two museum employees. The workflow has gradually improved as everyone has become more familiar with the routines for the registration work. This is a systematic process where we distribute the tasks: one or two register the objects in Primus, one is responsible for photography, and one marks the objects with the museum’s identification number.

It is possible to explore some of the objects that were registered before 2024 at Digitaltmuseum.
This week, the exhibition coordinator for SKREI will come to Fygle museum to pick up three artefacts that will be displayed in the new exhibition at SKREI in 2026. The objects are lent out temporarily and will be returned to Fygle Museum after a period of time.
