GaiaVesterålens’s Elias Øksnes Jonassønn has passed his content production exam with flying colours.
Yesterday morning, an intensive week’s work culminated in a presentation to a panel of examiners for Elias. The assignment: Plan a marketing campaign for the new GaiaVesterålen Museum, and create parts of the planned content. Unsurprisingly, the examiners were impressed, and they even asked permission to use Elias’ work as a reference example for future candidates preparing to take the exam.
“I was quite stressed preparing for the exam. After all, it is an assessment of everything I have done and learned over the last four years. But actually, it could not have gone any better and I am really pleased with the result,” says Elias.
Elias started his apprenticeship in February 2023. Since then, he has been an asset to GaiaVesterålen and the rest of Museum Nord. It was he who produced last year’s anniversary film, and over two years he has used photography and video to establish and develop a visual expression which has been of great value to GaiaVesterålen.
“Over the last two years, I have been able to participate in a lot of cool things, and I have learned so much. I am excited to continue growing as a content producer and become even better at what I do!”
Ane Høyem is project manager at Gaia Vesterålen and has been Elias’ supervisor throughout his apprenticeship.
“What Elias has achieved is very laudable, both over the last two years and in his examination this week. He is about to start a new career chapter, and all of his colleagues are so glad that he is staying at GaiaVesterålen for a while longer.”
With warmest congratulations to Elias from all of us in Museum Nord!
