Lecture tour in Ofoten

The museums and libraries in Ballangen, Kjøpsvik and Narvik invite you to a lecture tour with Arne Håkon Thomassen from the Sami Parliament!

On Saturday 30 August, it was ready for an open day at Ballangen Museum on the occasion of the Cultural Protection Days 2025. Also this year, the event was in collaboration with Ballangen History Society.
The event participants got to see the new exhibition about the ore separation facility of Bjørkaasen Gruber, and the beautiful model that was made by model carpenter Per Henrik Mørk in collaboration with students from Ballangen School.
Gunn Paulsen from Ballangen History Society gave a lecture and talked about his own upbringing and experiences as a child on Saltvikhøyda. The museum thanks Gunn for a great lecture!
