The bakery is open until 31 October

17 September 2025

Since the opening of the museum in 1989, locals and tourists have found their way to our famous bakery at the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum in Å.

This year has been a good season with many visitors. And we have experienced that locals and visitors want the bakery to be open longer. So this year we keep the stone oven warm, and it is possible to buy cinnamon rolls and other pastries every day until Friday 31 October. From 09:00 to 15:00.

The traditional bakery is an artisan bakery, where everything is designed by hand and every cinnamon roll is handled with love. We fire the oven with birch wood, which gives the extra good taste to all our baked goods. Genuine local food tradition, traditional crafts and cultural heritage at Å. The bakery is part of the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum, with a wood-fired stone oven from 1878.

Welcome to the bakery and the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum at Å.
