Draugen Day and Draugen evening in the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum, Last Baking Day in 2025

27 October 2025

On 31 October and 01 November, the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum transforms into a magical place. Draugen Dag transforms the museum, where you can meet creatures from Norwegian legends, folklore and storytelling traditions, and celebrate Halloween in a unique way.

It became a tradition at the museum to highlight legends, stories and folklore in the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum on 31 October and 01 November. We use this opportunity to make the creatures visible, which are usually invisible. You can meet draugen, marmælen, trolls, huldra and gnomes, and take part in a mystical museum experience.

What can you expect at the events?

31 October and 01 November: Day event at 09.00-15.00-Scavenger hunt and exhibition

Temporary exhibition about folklore, underground beings in Norwegian folklore, and Christian tradition around 31 October and 01-02 November.

Rebus race at the museum with a prize

01 November: Evening event at 17:30-20:00-Lommmelyk hunt at the museum

This year we are even more excited, because it is the first year that we associated an evening event on November 01, from 17:30. We turn off the lights at the museum, and encourage you to experience the museum in a new way, through flashlight hunting and magical scavenger hunt.

Bring your flashlight and join the mystery solving! Through the race, hunt for supernatural, underground, magical and funny characters at the museum, together with us! Join us for a slightly scary, fun and very exciting experience!

The bakery’s last baking day

Please note that 31 October is the last baking day of the year at the Bakery, and feel free to combine your visit with Draugen Day. Enjoy freshly baked cinnamon rolls at a nice and fun event!

See you at Å!
