On Saturday, 29 November, Lofotr Viking Museum opens its doors to both young and old who wish to mark the beginning of Advent with warmth, light, and a creative atmosphere.
In the dark and cold days of November, the museum promises a generous dose of Christmas spirit – with a decorated Christmas tree, a fully set-up high seat for holiday photos, and a wide range of activities for the whole family.

In the longhouse, everything is being made ready: paint, glue, woodwork and sticks and dough for stick bread baking are laid out for eager small and large hands. The museum hopes for another year with the very special and magical atmosphere that the Christmas workshop is known for. The smell of freshly baked bread and sodd from the feast hall, combined with the sound of Christmas presents being made, will lead visitors straight into the December feeling.

The museum shop also strikes a blow for the Christmas joy with Christmas sales and a 30 percent discount on most of the product range. Along with discounts on the product range, there will also be special sales on annual passes. With an annual pass, you enter the museum and can take part, at no extra cost, in various events that are planned. Here you can secure smart Christmas gifts or maybe in combination with the children make a personal gift in the workshops, for those who want something extra unique under the tree.

We hope to see many guests at this year’s Christmas workshop, say the organizers, who are already sending a warm Christmas greeting:
Merry Christmas!
