A little about the practicalities
The sun has returned, but winter is still here on Å. Therefore the roads can be icy and slippery, be prepared with good footwear and possibly with crampons.
Å is a weather-exposed place, where the wind direction and wind strength are influenced by the surrounding mountains.
At the end of December, we had a storm with strong winds that took part of the roof from the Old Shop. The skilled carpenters secured and covered the roof, so the area in the center is now safe. The next step with the roof work will be continued at a later date.
We hope to meet you in the winter months of the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum at Å!
