Museum café open all year round at the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum

Welcome to a museum café open all year round at the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum! The museum café is located in the shop building, at the bottom of the house at road level. It offers a cozy place in the museum for a break in the summer, and also to warm up in the winter.

Open every day from 09:00 to 15:00, with homemade cakes, waffles, various coffee drinks and barista coffee.

Our skilled café employees bake, among other things, carrot cake, blueberry cake and chocolate cake, and we also have gluten-free options.

Previously, the premises have been a warehouse and goods reception for the expedition ships at Å. At a later date, the room has served as an office for the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum. Finally, in 2016, the café opened, which for the first few years was only open in the summer. Then with a selection of cakes and pastries from the bakery. We renovated and renewed the café in 2023 and refreshed the interior. We accepted artworks from various artists, which can be purchased at the café tins.
