The Sea People

25 March 2026

The Sea People has been a big topic of conversation since it hit theaters earlier this year, unfortunately there are many who missed the chance to see the declaration of love for the coast in the form of a cinematic work of art.

The Sea People is a nostalgic, witty and energetic tribute to life along the Norwegian coast and the people who have lived there for generations, composed of unique archive footage from almost a hundred years and narrated by voices such as Halvdan Sivertsen, Trude Drevland and Pål “Moddi” Lue. The film depicts a coastal culture that affects most Norwegians, whether through work, natural forces or traditions, and also touches on key historical events such as the start of the oil adventure as well as destruction and reconstruction along the coast.
