Fishy Business – “Easter crime” at the museum

26 March 2026

On 4 April, the museum wakes up to a criminal case. Theft! Someone stole the coffee cod and fish heads.

The museum area will be an investigation area from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, where you will find clues that will help you solve the mystery: who is the thief? You will have the opportunity to be an active participant in a fun and exciting investigation.

When you buy a ticket, you will receive a “file” that shows the way to the tracks that guide you through the investigation in the museum buildings to find answers to the questions.

For Norwegians, we don’t need to introduce what “Easter crime” is, but we would like to share this tradition with our international visitors.

Easter crime is a Norwegian phenomenon due to the focus on crime literature at Easter. People read, watch crime-themed movies and cartoons, and even solve mysteries on milk cartons.

Join us for a fun Easter celebration in the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum and take part in the tradition!

Can you solve the mystery?

Price: Included in the regular entrance ticket. Free with annual pass.

The museum café is also open from 09:00 to 15:00.

Here you will find /link to the event/.

See you in Å!
