The second annual 8 May celebration takes place at Risøyhamn Bygdetun at 10 am, and here is the program:

10:00: Welcome

10:05: Speech by Director of Museum Nord, Geir Are Johansen

10:10: Speech by County Councillor, Arne Ivar Mikalsen

10:15: Mayor, Kjell Are Johansen unveils plaque

10:20: Veteran, Steinar Løvdal – wreath-laying

10:28: 1 minute silence

10:30: Feature from Risøyhamn school.

10:35: Concert with Ola Bremnes and Tore Bruvoll

The event is free, and the Andøy Museum hopes for many participants.

Climb the stairs of the tall cast iron tower of Andenes lighthouse. Exhibition on the harbor development. Also exhibition: Life of a Polar hunter.
