The museums and libraries in Ballangen, Kjøpsvik and Narvik invite you to a lecture tour with Arne Håkon Thomassen from the Sami Parliament!

We would like to present our new guide at Skaftnes Farm, Lisa H. Selberg.
Lisa is 19 years old, has a French and Norwegian background and attends a Folk high school in Lofoten. She loves nature, enjoys people and is curious about local history and culture. With her enthusiasm to learn and her commitment, she is a great addition to Skaftnes Farm.
This summer she will be taught by Walfred M.O. Larssen, who has been a guide with us for as long as we can remember. It’s amazing to see how knowledge and storytelling traditions are passed on between the older and younger generations.
Here you will learn about the fisherman’s farmer, the Nordland boat and the cod fishery – stories that have shaped Lofoten over the centuries. This is how cultural heritage lives on, from generation to generation.
We warmly welcome Lisa and look forward to a new season at Skaftnes Farm.
