Throughout the year there are a lot of different things going on around our museums. Below you can take a closer look at what we currently have on the block for 2022. Individual events with more details will be posted under Events. Subject to changes to the program.

Book launch “Sami past in Lofoten”:

  • February 4 at 4:00: Reine, organized by the Norwegian Fishermen’s Museum
  • February 5 at 4 pm: Lofotr Viking Museum
  • February 6 at 12 and 1330: Gallery Espolin. In addition, celebration of the Sami national day
  • February 10 at 7:00 PM Sortland Museum

21 February at 19: Lecture with Knut Werner Hagen “General Fleischer and the battles for Narvik in 1940” at Sortland Museum.

  • The Andøy Museum invites anyone who wants to come by and drink coffee and eat waffles, while at the same time pondering various objects we have and telling them what they know or think about them.

May 26-28 at 10-18 Andøy Museum celebrate spring with mini farm and other outdoor activities.

June 21 The boat Gamle Oksøy visits Sortland as a part of the 50 years anniversary of the Norwegian oil spill protection. Arranged by the Museum of the Norwegian Costal Administration.

Summer opening of museums: Ballangen Museum

July 7 Garden walk and demonstration of old crafts at Melbo Manor.

July 13-14 at 12-14 Arctic kids mining camp at Ballangen Museum

July 24-31 Reginedagan at Bø Museum

  • Sunday July 24 market day at the museum from 11-17
  • On Monday July 25 the artists from AiR Vesterålen have a workshop at the museum and present their work on 30 July.
  • Wednesday July 27 at 17 Adventures for Adults by Liv Helene Willumsen and Gøril Karlsen
  • On Friday July 29, the museum will take part in the Coastal Team’s family day at Lake Steinesjøen
  • On Saturday July 30, the museum tells about the last part of Anton Ellingsen’s diary from Gaukværøya
  • Sunday July 31 Adventure Trail at Bøhallen
