Autumn holiday at Lofotr

The Vikings in the Chieftain’s House at Borg welcome both new and familiar faces to activities and storytelling during the autumn holidays. With us, you don’t have to fear running out of things to fill your holiday with!

On Wednesday 1 October and Saturday 4 October, you can experience the Viking Age atmosphere through authentic activities and pleasant moments. Bring your family and visiting guests, see you at Borg!

Program Wednesday, October 1st:

Hnefatafl – Little Vikings can learn the Viking Age board games. Hnefatafl is a strategy game for two players, and the Vikings in the chieftain’s house are happy to help both young and old learn the rules.

Kohlrosing – This decorative technique from the Viking Age involves carving patterns into wood and filling them with color. Participants will, of course, get to take home whatever they create.

Program Saturday, October 4th:

Baking av pinnebrød – Pinnebrød, a classic from many people’s upbringing, will have the honor of gathering everyone around the fire this autumn holiday. The Vikings in the chieftain’s house provide equipment and dough, so the whole family can enjoy the fun part: grilling and eating.

Storytelling – Throughout the day, there will be storytelling at three times: at 12:30, 14:30 and 16:30. Here the whole family can both be entertained and learn a little about the Viking Age and the exciting stories from that time.

The activities during the autumn holidays are included in the regular entrance ticket. If you have an annual pass, it is free!
