Christmas workshop 2025

What a year it has been!
We are getting ready to open the doors and invite the whole family to the annual Christmas workshop at the museum.

Cutting, baking, sewing and woodwork are some of the stations we have ready for you when you arrive.

In the Chieftain’s House and in the Visitor Centre the Vikings are waiting for you, at various workstations.

Bread sticks are baked over an open fire and Christmas decorations are made from fragrant juniper. You can dress up as a Viking and take nice pictures, make nice things in different fabrics and more.

We believe many lucky parents, siblings and grandparents have received wonderful gifts from children who have made nice things at the Christmas workshop.

Admission is free on this day, but you must register at the ticket booth when you arrive. You can also reserve your ticket in advance here. There you will also be given a bag to collect your things in.

Can’t wait to see you!
