NB NEW DATES – Cod liver oil (tran) steaming at Å

NB: Due to bad weather, and access to resources we have to postpone the date of the event!

Don’t miss a whole week of cod liver oil (tran) steaming at the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum!

From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday March 11th through Saturday March 14th, there will be traditional cod liver oil steaming in the old boiler house at the museum.

Join us to learn more about the process that has, throughout history, been an important part of the fishing village community at Å. During the day, our knowledgeable guides will be available to share stories about the fishing village and the tradition of oil rendering.

Price: Included in the regular admission ticket. Free with an annual pass.
The event is subject to the availability of the necessary raw materials for production.
