About the musicians:

After twelve years in Oslo and Amsterdam, harpsichordist Nikolai Endresen Dahl has returned home to Vesterålen and established himself as a musician.

Together with duo partner Inger Øvrebø Uberg, he cultivates a glowing passion for early music. The duo strives for a high level of chamber music with live presentation of baroque music in a compact format. They have performed at Oslo Ladegård and Ringve – Norway’s national music museum, as well as the festival Nordischer Klang in Germany.

Duo Vardøg’s foundation is a strong interest in the highly expressive and colorful singing style of the early Baroque, also known as monody. With its beautiful melodies and large dramatic spaces for action, this music conveys deep, human emotions that are just as relevant today as they were in the 1600s.
