Guided tour of the museum

The former Hurtigruten ship MS Finnmarken (1956) stands on land, inside a spectacular conservation building. The ship has been refurbished and is ready to take visitors on a journey: stop by the bridge, galley, engine room, mail room, belsen, old cabins and more. On the deck is a Ford 17M from 1971. You’re welcome aboard!

We will be happy to take you on a guided tour. On the tour, you get an insight into the history of the Hurtigruten and the museum’s various experiences. The tour visits some of the museum’s “highlights”, both in the exhibitions along the ship’s side, on board the DS Finmarken (1912) and in the MS Finnmarken (1956).

Feel free to allow time afterwards for a visit to the ship’s cafe, or to study the museum more closely on your own and a visit to the museum shop on the 3rd floor.

Practical
Guided tours are arranged on request and not at predetermined times. You are welcome to ask at the reception on arrival and we will investigate the possibilities for a tour there and then.
Duration: about 45 minutes.
Price: NOK 500 (1 – 9 people).
