Lecture: Plant Joy by Arne Haukeland

On Thursday 21 November, we invite you to a talk with plant guru Arne Haukeland. This talk seeks to inspire and offer reflection on the relationship between humans and plants, especially flowers, and the joy we derive from them.

Arne has lived a life with plants. Almost born in a garden centre in Fana (now in Bergen) where his father grew everything from tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, seedlings, Christmas flowers and all kinds of decorative plants. He is educated at Gjennestad Horticultural School and the Norwegian University of Agricultural Sciences with a major in floriculture. Among other things, he has been county gardener in Troms for 5 years and assistant principal at Hjeltnes Gartnarskule for almost 25 years.

Arne has also given countless lectures on gardening, plants, flowers and vegetables and garden-related issues both in Troms and in Hordaland. In addition, he has traveled a lot, looked at plants and met gardeners.

Welcome to an inspiring lecture for the garden-lover, and those who would like to become one!🌼🌺 Maybe we will also hear some plant melodies? 🎵

Entrance kr. 100,- p.p.
The lecture will be held in the exhibition room in the main building (entrance up the hill and to the left). Doors open 1 hour before the lecture starts.
