Header poster Leiknirdagen

Lofotr Vikingmuseum invites you to the very first Leiknir Day! This new concept offers exciting experiences for children and a day filled with fun, coziness, and adventure for the whole family.

Upon arrival at the museum, young Vikings will receive a book where they can collect seven stamps from different stations with activities. All activities are carried out under the directions of a Viking from the museum who helps to achieve a sense of mastery, learn something new or make something nice.

The available activities on Leiknir Day will be:
– Bow and arrow
– Plant identification
– Whittling
– Tug-of-war
– Holmgang
– Firemaking instruction
– Storytelling
– Axe throwing (will be available, but does not give a stamp)

When the visit is over, mastery has been achieved and the stamp has been collected, the book is taken back to outside the Chieftain’s House. Here, diplomas are awarded to tough Vikings who have completed activities and proven themselves as a worthy part of the shepherd!

Join us for an exciting day at the museum before summer starts!

The activities are best suited for children aged 6 – 14.
Price: Included in the regular entrance ticket. Free with annual pass.

There may be changes in activities and programs.
