LIAF 2022 – FANTASMAGORIANA

The Espolin Gallery is one of several exhibition venues during this year’s art biennial LIAF – and has for the occasion been renamed the Museum of the Sun. Six different contemporary artists engage in a dialogue with the language of Espolin’s visual exploration, reflecting it in a new light. Lofoten International Art Festival 2022 is titled Fantasmagoriana, and is curated by the duo Francesco Urbano Ragazzi.

LIAF, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, is the longest-running art biennial in Scandinavia. The 2022 edition of this nomadic festival will take place at Nordnorsk kunstnersenter in Svolvær (which has produced the festival since 2009), and at five different venues in Kabelvåg.

Fantasmagoriana is on display September 3. – October 2. Free entrance!
