Lofoten Fishing Day at Å

Join us in the celebration of Lofoten Fishing Day at the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum at Å!

The celebration offers experiences that create curiosity, knowledge and the joy of creating for both young and old!

Program:

There will be steaming of cod liver oil in our old cod liver oil steamery throughout the day, which of course means tastings for those who want to give it a try! Cod liver oil can be used for many things, and you will also be able to learn about how cod liver oil is made. Available all day are our skilled guides who will be available for both dissemination and guiding at the cod liver oil factory and in the fisherman’s cabin (11:30, 12:30, 13:30).

Throughout the day, you will be able to try tongue cutting at the boathouse, and participate in a demonstration of fish gutting (at 13:00).

We look forward to seeing you at the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum during Lofoten Fishing Day to celebrate the traditions surrounding Lofoten fishing!

Price: Included in the regular entrance fee. If you have an annual pass, it is free.
The event is carried out subject to the availability of the necessary raw materials for production.
