Welcome to the official opening of the GaiaDrøv exhibition on June 15th!

GaiaDrøv is a unique exhibition about the importance of sheep in Arctic regions, with a focus on Vesterålen and Northern Norway. GaiaDrøv is specially designed for children and young people, but adults will also find the exhibition both fun and interesting.

The exhibition tells about the sheep’s important historical role, but also why the sheep in the north are important sustainability agents.

The goal of GaiaDrøv is to create interest in agriculture and contribute to increased recruitment. We hope GaiaDrøv will inspire a love for farming!

Partners: NIBIO, Deadline Media, Arctic Competence Center for Sheep, Museum Nord, Farmers’ Associations in Vesterålen, Sortland Museum.

Exhibition period: June 15th – October 31st

The opening is FREE.

More information about speakers and entertainment will follow.
