This year it has been 50 years since the modern Norwegian oil protection service saw the light of day.
On 8 June, the 50th anniversary celebrations kick off with a voyage that will run along the entire Norwegian coast. Through June, the boat Gamle Oksøy will stop in Horten, Langesund, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen, Ålesund, Sandnessjøen, Sortland and Tromsø, before the Norwegian Coastal Administration’s own OV Bøkfjord takes over to Honningsvåg, where the voyage ends.
Gamle Oksøy visits Sortland on 21 June at 13–17. Welcome aboard!
