Rowing the Viking ship is suitable for both young and old, young and old – and of course you do not need experience. The centurion teaches you what you need.
A sailing or rowing trip usually takes 20 – 30 minutes and is one of the most popular activities at the museum. There are several daily departures (weather permitting). The activity is included in the regular entrance fee. Seating is not possible for individuals, go to the Viking ship port and wait your turn. If the ship needs to be rowed instead of sailing, it is you who must take the oars and row in step with everyone else. The centurion teaches you what you need to know. (Start-up ca. 15 June)
The Viking ship is docked when there are no sailing / rowing trips. (Even in spring and autumn, when there are no rowing/sailing trips, the ship is docked.) Knowledgeable craftsmen, crew or guides are close by. Welcome aboard!
