Super Saturday at Lofotr

Join the Viking fun and create your own Viking ship at this year’s first Super Saturday!

On Saturday, March 14th, Lofotr Viking Museum and Meieriet Cultural Center invite both young and old to a day full of activities, play, and creativity in the chieftain’s house at Borg. Join us for storytelling, singing, dancing, and crafts – and take your own treasures home!

Create your own Viking ship – Receive a cardboard Viking ship that you can paint and waterproof, and decorate with ready-made templates for extra creative fun. Take your finished ship home and continue the adventure!

Stick bread baking and games – There will be stick bread baking throughout the day, and the children can take part in games together with the Vikings. The children will also get to help choose which games to play, so there will be activities for everyone!

Storytelling: Ormen Lange and Olav Tryggvason – We cover the floor with furs so children can sit up close as the story comes alive! Parents can enjoy the tale from the benches while children experience the saga up close.

Singing and dancing in Yggdrasil – We dance and sing together! Children get priority on the dance floor, and everyone is welcome to join in music and movement for a magical shared experience.

We look forward to seeing children and adults create memories together at Borg during a Super Saturday filled with Viking magic and fun experiences!
