Superlørdag at Lofotr

We invite you to Superlørdag at Lofotr! It will be a day filled with stories, crafts and Viking traditions! In collaboration with Meieriet library, we create a day for both young and old, with stories, activities and atmosphere in true Viking spirit.

Feel free to dress like Vikings for the day, we hand out capes on arrival!

Experience the saga of the Oseberg Queen:
Join us and hear the exciting story of the Oseberg Queen’s last journey, a story of power, courage and mystery.
Here, children and adults get to meet storytellers who take you back over a thousand winters, to a time when gods walked among people, and ships sailed between worlds.

• 13:00-14:00 Activities

After the story, children can explore several creative activities inspired by the Viking Age, ranging from crafts to tasty experiences:

Kohlrosing – Try an old Viking technique where you carve patterns in wood and fill with color. We help make patterns inspired by the Oseberg Tapestry.

Leather bracelets – Make your own leather Viking bracelet! The activity is suitable for children of different ages. Simple or more detailed, depending on skill and patience.

Campfire bread baking – No Viking day without a bonfire and the smell of freshly baked pinnebrød! The children get to participate in the baking and taste the result straight from the fire.

The event is best suited for children of all ages, but the whole family is welcome!
