The Liberation 1945: Help us identify historical photos

In the spring of 1945, Halvor Ribe went around Melbu and the surrounding area with a camera and documented everything that happened when peace came, the occupation ended and the settlement of five years of war began. Are you familiar with local history? Do you think you have information that is relevant to us? We invite everyone who thinks they might be able to help identify people and events in the photo material.

– Local historian Thomas Gundersen will give a short speech.

– Conservator Ingrid Elstad will present the material. We will go through it picture by picture.
