Narvik Museum
The spectacular Ofotbanen railway and iron ore trains, Narvik city’s development and industry in addition to travelling exhibits.
Narvik has a unique history with the resurgence of a city in Ofoten at the end of the 19th century. The construction of the railway, the Ofotbanen railway, is the origin of the modern urban community that established and developed near a natural port. On the seat of an electric mountain bike we will take you into the history that played out in and around Narvik. We are particularly focused on the acts of war that unfolded during World War II.
Season 2022
The tours take place in an urban setting. We start at Narvik Museum in Administrasjonsveien 3. We make short stops at interesting.
Times for this year’s season:
01.–30. June: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12.
01.–14. July: Daily at 12.
July 15th to august 5th Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11 and 14.
August 9th to september 30th.: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12.
The tours last around 2 hours, and is best suited for adults, but young people from 14 years can participate. Remember to bring clothes according to the weather, small bag, drinks, and food according to your own needs.
