FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTHS FROM Lofotr Viking Museum

Lofotr Viking Museum offers various activities and programs for schools and kindergartens. Here you will find information about our offers for children and youths.

We welcome visitors to the museum and have the opportunity to arrange offers adapted to children and young people with Viking Age as theme if needed.

Visits from kindergartens and schools must be made by appointment. Please contact us for more information: booking@lofotr.no

At the Lofotr Viking Museum you can travel 1,000 years back in time, and experience the Viking Age in an active and lively environment.

Duration: 90 minutes (calculated time spent on film, exhibitions and guided tour)

Levels: primary school, secondary school and upper secondary school.

Schools are asked to register their interest at: telephone 760 84900 or e-mail booking@lofotr.no.

Book at least 2 weeks in advance so that we can get the necessary personnel.

Other offers:

  • Eat a packed lunch or grill brought food at the boathouse.
  • Borrow activity equipment from the museum for playing at the boathouse (outdoors only) (pillows, horseshoes, kubb, etc.)
  • Borrow from a “lending box” with inspiration material for before or after work. (can be sent against postage costs or can be picked up free of charge at the museum)
  • Storytelling

Kindergarteners are welcome for a walk in the beautiful landscape around the museum. At the Lofotr Viking Museum you can meet the animals at the farm: wild boars and their children, wild sheep, Nordland horses and cows.
