The Bakery at Å

from the stone oven

Welcome to Lofotens most famous bakery – the bakery at Å. In our well-known bakery, we bake perhaps the world’s best cinnamon snours and delicious bread in the old stone oven from 1878.

Taste a piece of Lofoten’s baking history, with a cup of coffee in the summer sun! (The bakery can be visited as part of the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum.)

One of Norway’s best preserved and complete fishing villages. Visit various buildings; including boathouse, cod liver oil factory, husmansstua. Main topic: life in the fishing village 1840–1960 and the development of Lofoten fishing over the past 250 years. Shop and summer café.
