Did you know that there are large amounts of coral along the Norwegian coast, and that the world’s largest cold-water coral reef, Røstrevet, is located just outside Lofoten?
Learn more about cold-water corals in this newly opened exhibition at the Lofoten Aquarium.
Through sound, images, animation and play, the exhibition offers a sensory-rich experience that takes you down into the depths and into the unique ecosystems of the reefs.
A collaborative project
The coral exhibition has been developed by SALT, in collaboration with the Lofoten Aquarium, the Institute of Marine Research and others, and financed by the Research Council of Norway, the DNB Savings Bank Foundation and Nordland County Council.
